Sullivan School District SAU96

On Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, the voters of the Monadnock Regional School District approved the withdrawal of the Town of Sullivan from the cooperative by 412-308. Residents of Sullivan have created an independent school district, allowing for more local decision-making and oversight.

The new district SAU 96 began operation July 1, 2013.  

  • Grades K-5 attend Nelson Elementary School
  • Grades 6-8 attend Keene Middle School
  • Grades 9-12 attend Keene High School

The Sullivan School Board is comprised of five elected individuals with 3 year terms.

The Sullivan School Board meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the downstairs conference room at Sullivan Town Hall.

Members of the public are always welcome and encouraged to attend.

The Sullivan School District SAU #96 began operation on July 1, 2013. Residents of Sullivan created an independent school district, allowing for more local decision-making and oversight. The mission of the Sullivan School District is to provide our resident students with access to a highquality educational program that promotes achievement and prepares our students to be contributing members of our society.

The next Sullivan School Board monthly meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 14th at 6:30PM in lower town hall.  

The public is welcomed to join the monthly meetings, there is room for social distancing.

The first quarter is already behind us, the cooler weather is moving in, and budget season is gearing up! Our schools are buzzing with energy as students dive into academics, athletics, clubs, and all the activities that bring our community to life.

Enrollment updates are underway, and the Board is preparing for the important budgeting work that shapes the year ahead.
